What a Provider May Ask You

Expect a few simple questions. They help the provider give a realistic number.

• What type of project are you thinking about?
• What is your bathroom like now: size, tub type, floor and walls?
• Who will use it, and do they need a seat, grab bars or a low step?
• Is the home older, or does it have a basement or crawl space below the bath?
• When would you like to start?

Questions Worth Asking a Provider

A good quote starts with good questions. Try these:

• Is the quote in writing, and is it line by line?
• What is included: removal, plumbing, electrical, walls, floor and cleanup?
• What could change the price once work starts?
• How long does the job usually take?
• What does the product warranty cover, and who handles a warranty issue?
• Can you help document the work if I file an insurance claim?
